as of July 1 2008, just 2 weeks away, funding from the state of new jersey has been cut for the New Jersey Film Commission - the new jersey film commission offers invaluable assistance to both student and professional film makers, and without it, filmmaking in new jersey, where the american film industry was born, will be that much more difficult -
the commission need many letters (the old fashioned stamp & envelope type, not just emails) of support, from film people in all walks of life, at all levels of experience, and especially from anybody living in new jersey - and we need them ASAP !!!
lists new jersey state gov contacts who need to be reminded that without the NJ film office, many productions will go elsewhere, depriving NJ of a revenue stream that brought 92 million dollars into new jersey last year -
save new jersey film is an independent effort to prevent this, organized by film professionals from the NY/NJ area, and does not officially represent the NJ film office -
Thats sad, they always cutting money for filmmakers, artists, theater productions, sorry to hear that I will feature your website on my blog next week at Learnfilm.net
Best of luck
