I just dug up an older movie of mine I made with a friend in 2004. We filmed a short story about two guys having a conversation while playing Russian Roulette with a large revolver. Some poor technical issues (and acting) get a bit annoying but after viewing it for the first time in a long while, I'm kind of proud of certain ideas i had that worked out well. Of all my stuff, this one probably makes me feel the weirdest when I watch it. Regardless, I feel it was a productive learning experience all around.

P.s. It's called the "The Last Spin"

Wow, at the beginning I didn't think it was going anywhere...but as it progressed, I see what you mean. It may not be the most technically sound, or have the best acting...but the message was pretty cool and it looked like it was damn interesting to make.

Well if you could

1) get your hands on actors that know how to be natural and convincing
2) Work on continuity between shots

I think you would be set Smile

Much appreciated Smile Filming this one was definitely an ordeal, especially considering that I was acting (attempting to) and feverishly moving the camera around on a tripod between takes. Also, this was the first time I really experimented while editing the footage like i was going for some sort of style. It's pretty obvious, I think, that i was hesitant with the follow through of certain ideas. In hindsight I could easily have streamlined the acting and added better sound effects and musical cues (choices). This is definitely something I've done where I'm pretty sure that there's a better movie that can be edited out of the original footage, especially since I feel I've made some progress since then.
It would be so weird though, to edit this one again after like two years in the can :O Yikes!
