So the Departed owned the oscars and Martin Scorcese finally gets his due.


I was just happy Chubby McChubster (Abigail Bresling) didn't win.

Was I the only one frightened by Lucas, Spielberg, and Coppola with there crazy facial hair?

Lucas looked like a cartoon rooster.

I would agree. But that doesnt explain why you are harassing some poor little fat girl.

Might I mention that Abigail Breslin is really not that fat in real life if you've seen publicity photos of her. Maybe she's just that good of an actress since you thought she really was fat.

Congratulations to Ari Sandel for winning the Oscar for West Bank Story, that guy is truly an amazing talent and he's gonna be huge in the next few years.

I wanted The Departed, Martin Scorcese, Forest Whitaker, and An Inconvenient Truth to win, and they all did, so I'm pleased.

this was like a highschool awards ceremony. Im so glad Scorsese had so many years of not winning an oscar to really think of what to say to the academy and america and not just a list of thank yous.

I agree, Kyle, it seemed really like he didn't care at all, which isn't surprising. He's probably numb to the stupidity of the academy by now anyway, and knew these awards meant nothing. Though, I thought he would start bauling if only because he was bauling his eyes out for spoonemaker or w/e the f*ck her name was, for the editing. I thought he would really lose it if he won for director, but he was surprisingly calm.

I was excited for him.

We had somewhat of a snowstorm in North Iowa and the station cut out right before Best Actress and didn't come back. Blech

Actually she was wearing a fat suit in that movie...Kind of strange but true...

And that sucks about the snow storm...I live in the desert so it's quite interesting to hear things like that...Though, I must say I would have been really excited if something like that happened to me...It's sad I know but that's what happens when you're snow deprived your entire life...

Anyways...back on the Oscars...I thought it was cool Scorcese won...And the musical number with Jack Black and Will Ferrel was pretty awesome...but it took me a while to figure out what Gore was doing there

The Oscar suck...boo. If i was nominated though I totally go... I'm not going to lie.

-Little Miss- should have been in a best comedy categorry and won there, best screenplay...bro I liked it but it wasn't hella original.

- Everybody agrees "The Departed" is not Scorcese's best: pity oscar

- THe grandpa from "little miss"'s award should have been Eddie Murphy, he and JHud singing made the movie watchable

- Happy Feet got an Ocsar? My dad work for Disney and he didn't even know "Cars" was nominated

- and I thought the posing dancers thing was lame...
