What are you guys' most hated commercial series? You know....the ones with the horrible acting and EXTREMELY STUPID ideas? Here's just a few of mine.

Almost any local commercials-their picture quality is so horrible!

WalMart-such bad acting and it reminds me of a bunch of hicks

McDonalds-are they fooling anybody with that smiling crap? I've never been to a Mcdonalds where someone smiled while taking my order.

Bowflex-cheap actors trying to sell a product that doesn't work...pointless

SUBWAY-I love eating at SubWay, but their commercials are terrible! And that Jarred guy is such a bad actor! All of those commercials could have been written by 8 year olds!

There's a million more. I'm sure you guys will point some really good ones.

And the thing that gets me is this: Everyone agrees that some commercials are so stupid that they make you NOT want to buy the product being advertised. So who are the people that approve of these things going on the air? Big time writers and producers? Are they blind?!

That terribly cheesy Arm & Hammer deodorant commercial starring Jason Giambi in all of his bad acting glory.

McDonald's McGriddle commercial with the kid in a rocket ship. ...What?!

1-800-CALL-ATT with Carrot Top

Any really disgusting and really intrusive hair removal ad, where they show the hair getting torn off. I don't want to watch that.

And lastly, anything (especially car commercials) with Zeppelin, The Ramones, or any other band that has no business being in anything corporate as the soundtrack

Worst Commercial Ever?
The talking oven mitt from Arby's. WTF is up with that gimmick? A talking oven mitt? I think the animated cutesy spokes"things" have gone on long enough...

Local commercials suck, esp. ones that pretend to be funny and clever with "good" writing... ew. The commercial for my school (william paterson university) is so bloated with fake info, thats just annoying to all the students. Most cell phone commercials really suck too. The only commercials I enjoy watching are car commercials because they show some hot cars. Commercials aimed at kids are bad (but I guess effective)

Subway ones piss me the fuk off. HAve you seen the one where the black kid and that white ass go into the bank and start talking about how great subway is...so then all the customers run out.

Here's a film idea...a bunch of Hippies walk around painting stuff, they stop, eat lunch, then find a magical...CAMEL - which they eat to stay alive.

I can't stand the commercial where it just shows an audio conversation between Two "Friends" and one of them is Laughing hysterically laughing and the other cat is like, "Dude, Why are you Laughing." and then it shows the cell phone with a simulated picture of a Pig drinking a Coffe.
and then the friend say,"Oh, its a pig drinking a cappucino!" Of course a Pig would drink coffe if you put it front of them, They et thier own poop. I don't know if anyone lives in New York, but there are a whole lot of horrible local commercials. Big ups To Brooklyn.

Ummm! Chocolatey OVALTINE! More OVALTINE Please!

One kid runs to another, then another and another - pretty soon the mom that is making the (chocolatey) Ovaltine looks up and her whole kitchen is filled with kids and she says - "I guess I better make some more!".

Phooey. You let any kid bring home 200 kids and demand that their mother make Ovaltine for them and you'll see what they say! Probably something like, "I just mopped this floor, now look at it!"

They are the bad-acted commercials I can think of right now.

pgPyro - The WalMart ads do suck, but have you ever seen the one with the family who develops all their pictures at WalMart and they talk about how they went to the Baseball Hall of Fame and ran bases at Fenway Park and ****? Well they live right up the street from me...and here's the creepy thing: WalMart contacted them after seeing pictures they had taken in to be developed! So WalMart screens all the pictures you take in to be developped for potential advertisement. Creepy.

But of all the ads on television, the one I hate most is the one for SEARS air-conditioning. The one with the couple sitting in a sweaty house and the wife whines about how the husband hasn't called SEARS yet, so he finally does, then they cut to the two sitting eating breakfast and the husband says "Looks like it's gonna be another scorcher!" and the wife says "Cool!" What a piece of...

Has anyone seen those stupid mentals commercials.

First of all, Brent, it's Mentos, and second of all, those commercials rule because they're purposely stupid and cheesy. Mentos knows that their ads suck, and they still keep making them, which is hilarious. I love those commercials.

i totally forgot, the worst commercials ever. Those horrible "marijuana: harmless?" commercials funded by john walters and the DEA. All the situations in those commercials are one of two things: The situations are more appropraite for alcoholism, or the only reason its not harmless is because lawmakers continue prohibition, which lands innocent people in jail.... grr...

haha, I like how they claim they tested positive for marijuana, but that's not surprising considering it stays in your system for like a month.

you all forgot the two worst advertising campaigns in the last year - hotels.com and terminix. jesus they suck. Those terminix ones, with the concrete house, and the one with all the gigantic fans and horrible acting abound! dear god....

BUT! You are all forgetting the golden rule of advertising! The point isnt to make your product LIKED but REMEMBERED...and hey, you all remembered how crappy those commercials were didnt ya...and i'd be willing to bet that if we had a pest a problem, terminix would be right on the tips of our tounges...

It's true, I eat at Subway a lot and I would probably call Terminix. But NEVER, and I mean NEVER would I go to Wal-Mart! I HATE THAT PLACE!!!

And yeah, that McGriddles Commercial with the kid in the spaceship is stupid but I laugh at it all the time. I love how the dog presses the button and the kid just takes off. But I still don't get it.

And duh, the Mentos ads are meant to be stupid, Brent. Sometimes I wonder if I'm still the youngest one on this forum...

Jeff is absolutly correct. Whether anything or anyone is loved or hated, those are both strong emotions and for whomever/whatever it is that provokes them is genious. Like that guy that put elephant poop all over the virgin mary, that guy got so much press and was so famous, and most people hated him. same with serial killers i guess...
