i need help on sumthin! i need to make wolf prints on the ground for one shot (it will be zooming it very, VERY slowly but i can do that on the computer so i will film it as a still shot). They need to be extremely visible. I was thinking of carving them on my own in a patch of mud and then letting it freeze up a little bit. i dont know if this will work though so please let me know if you have better ideas!!!

wet the ground into mud and get a dog to walk over it?

btw, i wouldn't suggest zooming on the computer, it interpolates and causes ugly blurring and pixilation.

ok i guess ill just film a still shot and a slow zooming shot to see what looks better. Also idk if the dog's print will be visible enough. Maybe I will go outside later and experiment with different things in the mud (including my dog if she's up to it lol).

i'm betting there are TINY differences between dog and wolf prints, but it probably won't be possible to tell in a movie.

would it work to have the prints be in snow? you guys have snow right now, right? or you could find sand somewhere, like beach sand, that holds prints really well.

you can zoom in up2 10 percent on miniDV footage without losing enough resoloution to make a difference.

ok thats cool i have someone working on a test for the opening titles right now actually. one or two i only know of one guy for sure. anyway it cant be in snow cuz it supposed to be like fall or like the beginning of a school year. so im thinking of trying the mud thing and maybe using my dog and then making a few adjustments with like a stick or something like that. if anyone had any other suggestions can u post them?
