which HD camcorder should I buy with this purpose in mind?

Question:
I have 3-5k to spend for an HD camera. I will be using green screen extensively in a feature film. What advise does anyone have on choosing which camera to buy for my purpose? and how can I transfer my HD footage to my windows laptop while preserving the best possible quality? would it be wise to rent a more expensive camera and cram my footage in days? I have little money and hope to compensate the monetary lack with all the time I devote to this project. any advise will help, including cheaper options for hd quality "green-screening".

Choices:
I know Camera format is of concern. shooting HD with greenscreen in lesser formats are almost unusable, because of the noise. I'm not sure what to do with 3-5k spending limit.
Lighting is essential.
