Does anyone know a good (and cheap) method to create a filmlook process for DV or Digital8? I've heard you can do it by deinterlacing the video and all this other stuff, but I want to know if anyone's actually done it and how it looks.

This topic came up a little while ago.

De-interlacing probablly won't help too much.

You will notice a big difference in quality from digital8 to DV alone. I find that deinterlacing does make the footage look more "filmy." It's better than nothing. Combine this with setting the speed of the video to 95% in post, then it will look pretty good.
Of course I have never shot anything in film but this method is sort of for the basics. also try different styles in lighting.
