Picture of Will (Friends call me modem)
Posted
I have been all up and down the internet looking for help with my dilemna... But it was fruitless, so I turn to you guys, the clear experts.

I need to shoot a very brief scene inside of a car. The basic layout, is that the car nearly missed hitting something in the road, and is swerved hard, probably half onroad, halfon road. Obvioiusly, the car is at a complete stop. I REALLY want it to be raining... But if that's too hard, then I can do without it. It is in the dead of night, and needs to be set on a bare road. I would love to shoot on location and all, but I live in a big city metroplex, and getting me, the DP, the four actors, and someone who can drive out in the middle of nowhere would be... You get the picture.

What I was thinking, is something along the lines of putting the car in a pitch black garage (Which I can do), having the actors inside, and then setting up two floodlights, one through sunroof (key) and one in the far back (fill). I could probably just squirt water from a hose onto the key point of the car that's on camera. The only problem I can see with this (and it's the first time of done it like this, so there are probably several more) is that the lights would cause a horrible glare on all the windows, and it would reflect what was inside of the car.

Does anybody have a better idea?
