Hey all,
I posted the other day about a short ninja movie my friend made, and has in competition at this site.
http://www.ninjafilmcontest.com/#
His shor is called "Wanna Woo", and is by far the best out of the five. After I posted, i found out he had like 52% of the votes, but as the days have passed, it has gotten much tighter.
The bottom line is, he is a good guy, and a very talented film maker, who could use the cash. Plus, his short really is the best (as evident by his original lead) I ask only that you watch "Wanna Woo" and vote accordingly. I assure you, the martial arts within that short are spectacular. His two friends are amazing martial artists. Check out the through the window move, and vote for "Wanna Woo" by Lee Cipolla of FSU. I would consider it a personal favor. Thanks all, and enjoy the show.
Mike

P.S.
What do you think of the short? Post your reviews here, so i can pass them on to the film maker.

And you shall know us by the trail of dead.

I voted for him...his video was actually pretty good...I liked the end too, where it's all just making a movie (Wannabe Woo was a nice touch)...I'm sure John Woo liked that...

If I had known that there was a ninja film contest, I would have made one for sure...

That Ninja Justice one is REALLY good quality...and it was made pretty well, I like how it introduces the characters.

I think what you mean to say is, better production value. I will admit this as well, and I think even Lee feels that way. The thing is, anyone can learn how to incorparate production value into their work, and had there been more time, im sure Lee would have done more (I am basing this on his previous movies) but the deadline was tight. This is the reason I didnt enter. They announced it, and needed stuff in less than three weeks. If i had nothing else going on, I would have gone for it, but alas....
Lee did though, and he had a decision to make. What was more important, content, or image? In this case, I have to go with content. The fight scene is amazing. I have rented films thats fights pale in comparrison to this, so for that, I applaud him. Ninje Justice, seemed to simply play on T&A, more than martial arts. I dont know, I have always just found stuff like that cheesey.
Hey, thats just me. I certainly encourage everyone to vote for what they think is best, and thanks for the support.

Yes, but did you vote for "Wanna Woo"?
Its wierd, because when i first went there, "Cool Ninja" was at the bottom of the ranking. Then, I watched it. It belonged there. Now, it has suddenly, mysteriously, jumped to number 1 with 44.9% of the vote. I smell hackers! So, folks, go vote for "Wanna Woo" again. You can vote once every 24 hours. If it was a cool movie that might beat him, i wouldnt care, but that movie sucks. Dont let the evil little hackers prevail. Hack back. Thanks.

Yay Tizzy your friend won, Im sure hes quite happy right now. Well I watched it all the way through and the Fighting is what impressed me the most. The stuff leading up to the fight could have used a little work, but it left more time for the fighting which was really good.

I also saw this contest when it was mentioned and I was thinking about entering it since its right up my alley, if I had known that most of those movies were that poor quality I would have entered. WIth exception to your friends of course. Fighting had some real cool movies and the dive into the car was pretty slick.

I think some of the camera angles could have used a little work, but the sound effects were nice ecspecially when the guy got his neck broken at the beginning.

Again, congratulations to your friend and I hope he can come up with some more quality fight scenes.

Thanks Darkfire, and thanks to all of you who voted. Yeah, it could have been better, and his other films are, but he shot and edited that in like 2 days, so, for a few hours of shootin, and on spot fight coreography, I have to give him props. What im really looking forward to is his next big project. Im trying to get him to post his last short here. Thanks again all.
