hey guys, brand new to these boards, but hopefully i can find some answers thanks to you...here is my annoying question of the day...

what type of cameras would you say are between 300 and 600 bucks that dont give you that "camcorder" feeling, you know when you can tell its a home video camera and when its a higher end type cam...

if this is a dumb ques, pls ignore. But for those of you who may know what I mean, pls share.

I have much to learn.

Most camcorders in that price range have "the camcorder look", but just get a single chip mini dv. If you don't want that look, pay attention to white balance and all your other levels. You can also use artificial light, colour correction, etc to give it a better look. But, as far as camcorders go, just get a 1ccd mini DV in that price range, there is not much difference between all of them
