Picture of Goodwill

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows a forum that discusses 16mm film, like the different film stocks and ways of processing and such.

Also, for those of you who have done 16mm film, when getting it processed and you know you are going to get it put onto digital, do you guys do hte color grading and color corrections at the lab? If you don't color grade the image, how different does the image look on the computer? I guess what I am trying to find out is that after color grading, is the 16mm film picture quality, when put onto digital, better than digital quality? Also, I wouldn't mind knowing how much color grading actually is. Thanks!

The quality totally depends on what camera/film/lab/telecine you use. I don't go to the lab because it's far away. I can't personally supervise. I've been happy with the scene-by-scene so far.

Is the look of the image better than digital? Hell yes, in every case. Super 8 is better than digital too, FWIW.
