I know remakes suck but these are my choices:

1- they live - a intelligent movie directed by John carpenter. Very underrated.

2- Breakfast club - a melancholic movie about being young .

3- Personna - Masterpiece directed by genious Bergman

i was TRICKED into watching They Live last night.

HORRIBLE, there was a 20 minute fist fight scene!

and it holds so many cliches of science fiction, why remake such a horrible story when there's much better works to be conceived?

hi there mate

its not horrible at all!believe me!

they use the cliches intencionally. thats why it is so fun. It has also a subliminal message against the reagan youth. It looks like a B movie but is more than that.
In america people really dislike carpenter. I wonder why...
cheers!

I do not think that the Breakfast Club could/should ever be remade. It is too much of a classic and the chemistry that the cast had could never be matched. I would probably refuse to go see the new one, I could see it being taken in a whole different direction with new stereotypes, but I just don't think it would work.

I am a director, and I've never been a fan of re-makes. HOWEVER, I would just have to remake Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The best movie ever Razz

I'd probably remake an Ingmar Bergman film called Wild Strawberries. I don't think it could be matched, but it was so ahead of its time that I think it could work in a modern setting. I'd also kind of like to see a new version of Harvey, although no one could touch Jimmy Stewart's performance in that.

Actors? What actors?

I too am a director.

I'd remake Night of the Creeps, or another little movie I enjoyed called Dead and Buried.

First Blood

I'd remake this movie the way it should have been made in the first place.

I'd remake Lord of the Rings, only I'd basically take the footage and digitally add groucho marx mustaches on all the characters.

I would like to remake Terminator 3. I would set terminators fighting with those powerful lazer guns around on the destroyed earth. NO MORE TIMETRAVELS. That`s really what people want to see. I would like to bring the ultimate future war of the human race`s survival alive. Within that budget it`s even possible I think.

I'm not a director, I'm actually a door bell salesman, I'm real good at it too. Although, one film I would like to remake is Fritz Lang's "M".

Keep Hernandez and Peebles, and the guy who played Rocco, oh and Burt Young, fire the rest of the cast and crew and film it with talented people and make it congruent to the original "Carlito's Way"

Citizen Kane. But I'd use a glidecam for the entire thing. Maybe I'd do it as a miniseries.

Escape from New York
Straight Update

Alien Vs. Predator
Completely new plot, which i still want to make so i'm not sharing it Big Grin

Fantastic Four
Set in the 60's with the mole men

Wizard of Oz (a million times ahead of the rest, a big dream project for me!!)
Based off the book series, not the musical.

A Nightmare on Elm Street
Less jokey and more surreal

Audition
Purely as an american trailer to get people to watch the amazing original

Friday the 13th
Just for fun (more of a sequel than a remake)

Peter Pan
Probably my second big dream project. I have a lot of stuff written down for when i get the money.

But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
