Just thought I'd try to start up a little more conversation here on the board.

So what are you currently working on?

Right now I'm working on producing a comedy web series titled Steven & Stephen. I'm still in the writing stage, but really I just need to sit down and hammer it out. It's about two friends who go from being best friends to being pretty much each others arch-nemesis. I'm hoping to be able to start shooting over my spring break (which is next week), but I don't think I'll have enough written in time.

Alright your turn now.

Oh, I've been working on a couple things. I've been doing camera work, and co-directing on some of my friends projects.

I've got a few feature length screenplays I'm working on, and hopefully by the summer I can have one done and start filming it.

well I've got two projects up and running. yay ambition! I'm Co-directing and producing a documentary about our school project, yes yes very childish but something. And then I've got a video analysis of three documentaries where i discuss their way of portraying the truth, or "truth" in some cases, that one i'm directing producing screenwriting, everything (it's not so big).

Right now I've got a few projects in the works. One is a 15 minute tale of a guy whose life is shifted by an afternoon he spends with a stranger. That one I wrote and I'm shooting it. Another is about a boy who protests dissections at his school because of his love for goldfish (told from the POV of the goldfish). That one I'm shooting and editing. Another is a love triangle told nonlinearly. That one I wrote and am shooting.

Finishing a business-related film, working on 2 15 page-ish scripts, starting a feature length script (for a screenwriting class), and looking at getting into a new production within the next 2 weeks.

Here's a good topic!

I've got a few in the works - let's start with the one, I'm currently in production of.

Ruiner:

A feature length horror flick that I got hired to associate produce and I'm also the camera op on. 10 day shoot ending on the 20th (with our days off in between).

Fragments of Gold:

This is a short version of the feature I'm working on first. Involves the theory of parallel dimensions (you can find more on my website: www.waterandoil-productions.com) and that's currently in pre-production. I'm looking to get the audition process started soon.

Facing Humanity:

A one-off documentary to raise awareness for prostate cancer and reach out to people to make sure the men in their lives get checked. Currently in pre-production as well, working with a producer on completing the pitch package. Our estimated budget for this is $750k, but likely to change some depending on who picks it up.

NON-FILM RELATED:

OPHEA Fitness Videos:

OPHEA is an organization that is trying to promote physical activity in elementary schools in Ontario. We're working in collaboration with them to do some promotional/instructional videos to help kids keep active.

That's about all, other than the occasional wedding/play or dance recital. If you'd asked me two months ago what I was working on, I wouldn't even have had an answer for you guys! Wink

this is a great topic. It's good to see so many creative and interesting projects going on.

I have a few projects in the works at the moment:

first off is a short narrative which basically revolves around revenge, and why it may or may not be justified. I hope to have that shot within the next month and a half.

second is a short documentary about ethnic identity, and the effects "multiculturalism" has on the homogeneous north american youth culture ( especially in canada, where the "mosaic" mentality is ingrained in us from an early age). This is one i am VERY excited to begin working on.

Third is a script for a short film revolving around two lonely individuals who build a healing relationship through bathroom graffiti.

The fourth thing i am working on is a feature length screenplay about a young musician's struggle to find self actualization by fighting violence in his local hardcore music scene.

I find that it is frusterating to work on so many challenging projects at one time, because while they all inch closer to completion, the satisfaction of completing one never seems to materialize.

A documentary about the relationship between the media and youth. It analyzes the media's portrayal of youth and compares it to the real lives of youth to attempt to find and resolve the disconnect (if any) between the two.

Up until recently I'd been pretty busy with school. Just the other week, I had a few days off and took advantage of them, hashing out the screenplay to my new thriller about two brothers who suspect somebody is living in their attic. Right now I am casting in the Orlando area for three major parts and a few smaller ones. It is a very personal project and it has taken me several months to get the screenplay together. From the reactions I got from those who've read the screenplay, the story has got something else... I just don't know what, yet.

Currently in the final stage of editing a documentary for distribution in the uk. The offline edit should be done tomorrow.

Am in the very early stages of planning a build of a lighting truck over the next 18 months, which should be fun.

I just want to be honest and say it's pretty f--king cool to see what other filmmakers like myself are working on. It's good to know that there are other people who have such a devoted passion for an art, where you dedicate hours of work to something you really love. I can't wait to see all of your projects. Good luck!

thats the last clip you'll have till the actual picture. this was actually a scene from the film wheras the other footage is not in the actual cut. I was a little unsure to show this but since its part of the NIN fest and i get free music for it, it works. in regard to the final film, its going on studentfilms.com, only cause i feel bad for never doing the fests and owing so much money to the site...but ive been saying that for 6 years Eek
