First off, my dad has an old Bogen/Manfrotto 3036 tripod for a still cam with 3 way moving head but its not fluid so I can't really use it for video work as its not smooth at all...
are there any fairly good 2 way heads I can install in place of the old one that are at a low price?...I'm not sure where to look or what prices are going for these days...

Back in high school I was in a TV production class where we did both studio work and editing with Adobe Premiere 4. Today I'm in college and taking some more TV Production classes because I want to get into it for a job but I'm not sure where to start looking. I will be certified in Avid around the middle of next year though the college and am great with running studio and just about any gear which is a plus in my mind for someone who wants to get into this field because I would not need much training.

At home in my spare time I'm always doing small videos and working with Adobe Premiere 7 just for the fun of it but its not really fun if I'm not getting paid to do this and am still stuck on beginner gear. I really want to get some better gear like a new pro. grade Canon camera. Are there any jobs in the editing field that let you work from home and get you some income?

If anyone has any tips on what I should be getting involved in at this time and tips on where to look for jobs around the area please let me know, BTW I'm in CNJ and would like to get into either a studio type setting or do editing for shows.

One last thing:
I also have been going to the college at the first of each month when CN8 comes by to do some recording in the morning. I normally am on camera or Tech Director which is fun to me. I hope that is something good I can put on my resume for a job.

Many people in my town do weddings, functions, etc. Basically freelancing. Advertise your services around, see if you can offer what the rest don’t.
