[Edited by titaniumdoughnut, for that honest truth factor you can't find anywhere else.]
I just checked out this film school located in Van Nuys and it is saving me tons of money!
[I would like to advertise this film school located in Van Nuys, and I think you'll believe I'm really a student, even though I'm actually a PR person from the school.]
This unique course trains all three of those categories of work in the same classroom for the benefit of each job. It's designed for success oriented individuals as aspiring film leaders daring to be great and endeavoring to reach the top. This course has most production experienced film school instructors in the country! And the course is amongst a very modest price
Instructors in this program include Stephen Spielberg's production managers, vice presidents of production from Warner Brothers and Walt Disney Studios, committee chairmen of the Directors Guild of America, producers and production managers of some of Hollywood's biggest pictures, top production accountants, gap financiers, completion bond company owners, entertainment attorneys, and several of the industry's film service vendors. The classes are small and close niche so that you have a chance to work with Hollywood pros at a very intimate level.
This course covers story acquisition, motion picture development, budgeting and scheduling, film financing, federal and state film incentives, contract negotiations, preparation for photography (locally, on distant locations, and in foreign countries), operating the photographic stage, post production and editing with its systems and procedures, distribution and exhibition, all in great depth by the industry's top working professionals.
I'm really tired of foolish PR reps trying to pass themselves off as customers. It happens all over the internet.
Let's break this down strategically.
If you convince me that you are a student who is recommending this school, you have earned a tremendous amount of credibility, given the situation (student film forum).
If you tell the truth and advertise your school in a non-patronizing and honest way, using up to date marketing and internet rules, you'll have a decent amount of credibility, and I'll check out your site if your product interests me.
If you fail to convince me that you are a student, and are exposed for a liar, you lose ALL credibility. Now I don't trust the school, you, or the program in any way. I have been lied to, by a bad liar, and played for a fool. I have serious doubts in the marketing department's intelligence, and the integrity of the school as a whole. You lose.
